Why Hearthside

What makes the difference at the table.

No Regulated Claims

Our facilitators guide structured exercises. We do not offer counselling, mediation, or any form of regulated professional assessment.

Small Group Sizes

Sessions run with a maximum of twelve participants. Enough to hear different perspectives; small enough for each person to feel at ease.

Printed Workbooks

Every participant leaves with a printed workbook drawn from public adult-education materials. Something to refer back to quietly at home.

Central Kuala Lumpur

Our venue on Jalan Imbi is reachable by public transport and sits within the familiar geography of the city centre.

Weekend & Evening Options

Workshops run across weekends; the parent course runs on weekday evenings. Schedules are designed around working households.

Discreet Participation

Participant lists are not shared. What is discussed in the room stays in the room. Hearthside takes the privacy of every family seriously.

Take a seat

Is there a conversation your household keeps putting off?

Hearthside gives families a quiet, structured setting to practise the kinds of exchanges that matter. No pressure, no performance — just a table and the work of getting clearer together.

Common questions

Before you arrive at the table.

Do I need to attend with other family members, or can I come alone?
The Family Communication Workshop and Parent Education Course are open to individuals attending on their own as well as to couples or family groups. The Household Organisation Session works best when at least two household members attend together, since the practical sorting is shared work.
Is this counselling or therapy?
No. Hearthside programmes are adult-education experiences. Our facilitators lead structured exercises and group discussions drawn from public educational materials. They do not offer counselling, mediation, therapy, diagnosis, or any regulated professional service.
How large are the groups?
We cap each session at twelve participants. This keeps the room manageable and allows everyone a reasonable amount of space within the exercises.
What do I need to bring to the Household Organisation Session?
Bring whatever household records you want to organise — utility bills, household contracts, insurance documents, school records, and so on. We provide the folders, labels, and templates. You do not need to bring anything else. The facilitator will not advise on the content of your documents.
How do I pay, and what is the refund arrangement?
Payment details and our cancellation terms are provided at the time of booking. Please get in touch via the form below or by phone if you have any questions before reserving your place.
Can the Parent Education Course be taken at any time, or only in a fixed cohort?
The course runs in cohorts — four consecutive weekday evenings — so participants move through the material together. We announce new cohort dates a few weeks in advance. Contact us to find out when the next cohort opens.
Is Hearthside suitable for families going through separation or divorce?
Our programmes are open to any family household, including those navigating a period of transition. However, we are an education space and not a mediation service. If your situation involves any kind of formal dispute, we recommend you also speak with qualified professionals working in that area.
